The shop number 1 for car parts without a license
After a sharp rise following the 2018 reforms, the price of roadworthiness tests stabilized again in 2022. But prices remain highly volatile, ranging from €45 to €120 for the same service. While inflation has soared this year, few prices have stagnated. That's not the situation with roadworthiness tests this year. Prices for roadworthiness tests have barely risen in the last three years, which is both unprecedented and surprising in a context of inflation.
Virtually fixed prices
In 2019, with the introduction of new checkpoints in the technical inspection reform, prices rose by an unprecedented 12%. Since then, however, prices have virtually stagnated, with gains limited to 1.15% over three years.
Bad news for reverse inspections
According to Baromètre 2022, in France (out of 5,625 establishments, i.e. 86% of the total sample), the average price of a roadworthiness test for a gasoline or diesel passenger car is 78.52 euros.
Compared with petrol or diesel cars, because of the higher number of inspection points, alternative fuels cost more: 85.10 euros for electric cars, 84.80 euros for hybrid cars and 93.24 euros for LPG cars.
Another finding is the near-disappearance of insured counter-inspections, introduced by just 2% of centers. This is out of all proportion to past practice, as almost a third of centers use counter-visits as a commercial gesture.
So watch out for this counter-inspection: the slightest chip on your windshielda bumper a damaged bumper, a belt in poor condition, a tire that's almost worn out, brakes that have reached the end of their life - you're looking at a bill! Avoid paying €20 more in the wind by changing your piecesanspermis.fr, the specialist in parts for licence-free cars.
Low prices
In general, prices range from 45 euros to 120 euros for the same service throughout the region. Prices vary according to vehicle size, in this case for unlicensed carsthe price is likely to be around 45 euros.
If we calculate the average by sector, the difference remains significant: from 99.32 euros in Haute-Savoie (up 26.5% on the national average) to 67.14 euros in the Loire (down 14.50%).
Depending on the department, we anticipate a difference of a few euros, but don't worry about our VSP, the price will be much lower than the basic technical inspection. A little inconvenient, but important for our safety and that of everyone else!
