Crash test results for our licence-free cars
One of the primary concerns of our customers before choosing their license-free car is, of course, the car's safety. It's one of the first factors to be considered, even before price or design.
All manufacturers boast in their sales brochures that their cars are extremely safe. But what is the reality? What are the best brands?
Unfortunately, the article published by UFC Que Choisir in 2016 following a crash test carried out on 4 cars: Aixam Crossover GTR, Bajaj Qute, Chatenet CH30 and Microcar M.GO Family show that the safety of license-free cars is still an issue.
It should benoted that this test followed the same protocol as in 2014, a test specific to licence-free cars.
This test shows that these 4 new models offer little protection to their drivers in the event of a collision with another vehicle or an obstacle. In order to compare this test with a small city car, UFC Que Choisir also tested a Toyota iQ using the same protocol as for cars without a license, to highlight the difference in safety levels between the two categories.
