The shop number 1 for car parts without a license
The 2018 Motor Show will never have reserved so much space for autonomous cars!
General Motors has undoubtedly taken the concept the furthest, proposing an autonomous car with no steering wheel ... So does this mean that no steering wheel = no license?
Infact, the American automaker has sprung a surprise with the unveiling of its Cruise AV concept car, devoid of any physical control. A car to which the driver and passengers entrust their lives ... With this model, General Motors aims to change people's mindsets and create a haven of peace inside the cabin, where passengers would have no other concerns than looking at the scenery, resting, or watching a film without worrying about driving.
Passengers would be able to enjoy the scenery, relax or watch a film without having to worry about driving.
Also, on this model, General Motors provides neither steering wheel nor pedals, nor even any physical controls of any kind that might enable the driver to regain control of the vehicle, even in an emergency.
So what use is a driver's license in this type of car? In the years to come, legislation will have to address this issue and adapt its regulations. More than ever, the licence-free car is the future!
For the time being,the historic manufacturers (Aixam, Ligier, JDM, Chatenet ) have reacted very little to these concept cars, concentrating instead on more ecological aspects, notably by developing "greener" engines.
