CITROËN STEALS THE CROWN FROM AIXAM

We felt it without really believing it, but February confirmed it: for the first time in years, Aixam is not leading the VSP market. Obviously, Citroën has taken the lead..

In January, the possibility of a power shift to Citroën at the head of the PSV sector was spotted Aixamwith just 36 registrations. February brings down the market price with a big score for Citroën's Ami, registered at 935 units compared with 410 a year ago, a +128% bonus. The Ami's formula for success is undeniable at the start of this year: style, price, financing, distribution, zero emissions, it ticks a lot of boxes, even if it's not perfect. On the other hand, the likeable VSP, which is poised to dominate the market, will not be forgotten, if it continues at this pace. Still, Aixam has no reason to be ashamed of its results, as the Savoy-based brand has never sold so many models!

Over the month, its score is slightly positive, at +2.8%, up 18 units on February 2021, but up 77 units on 2020, 181 units more than in 2019, 218 units on 2018.

Growing sales for all

While sales of Citroën simplify to determine with their single model, Aixam is still unclear, without knowing the details of the distribution between the different emotions ranges, Minauto and the E-Aixamranges.Sales of its commercial vehicles are only visible, with 60 D-Trucks and 4 E-Trucks in this case in February. Aixam has ten months in which to continue its leadership, and its next sales activity scheduled for March, its open days scheduled from the 10th to the 17th, will provide sales in addition to the initial ones. Difficulty for the group Ligierto keep up with both market relationships.

Ligier lost 12.7% over the month, i.e. 35 fewer units, divided between its SUV, JS60 (+16.7%, from 162 to 135 ex) and the JS50 sedan, which held up better (-7.1% from 112 to 104). At neighboringMicrocar, everything went down: the Dué dropped from 100 to 89 units (-11%), the M.go from 140 to 112 (-20%) and the M.cross SUV from 11 to 6. However, the birth of the Must finish at Ligier is offered with more equipment than its Dué and M.go trim levels. But this has obviously not yet shown any added value.
At the manufacturer of the second line, Chatenet managed to make a slight increase(+2.1%), but only on the sale of a single CH. Nonetheless, it's slightly slim, as its entire two-month cumulative total is still green(+ 33.8%), as is Casalini (+ 44%), with a big month at + 21.9%, corresponding to 6 more sales in February. Faustal also mentions the case of Renault, more than ever at the end of its Twizy's life (61. 3% for 12 elderly people) and soon to be overtaken by Tropos, the market's 7th largest player. The ambitious American company, which has raised its game in the household appliance sector, added 16 points to its score over two months, and even overtook Belliernoun Electric did not sell a single No Smoke during the month.
