The shop number 1 for car parts without a license
If you're a small car enthusiast, you'll certainly be a miniature car enthusiast... These people will be delighted by Altaya's new collection, launched a few weeks ago and available on newsstands, on sale for "MicroCars d'antan".
Rare cars in miniature. Many people like to collect replicas of Porsches, Ferraris and other classic cars sport legendary cars. Some manufacturers, like Autocult, sometimes venture into oddities, namely Gutbrod Superior, Reyonnah or Alca Volpe, which, among other things, is in 1/43 scale, in plastic frames. We should also mention the initiative of Hervé Marilleaud, a craftsman based in Loire-Atlantique, who offers 1/2-scale kit models for sale on eBay. He's even closer to license-free cars: his range includes the Willam City and Lawil, Rovin D4 and Autoscooter Inter. This type of model seems to interest only a fraction of collectors, which makes it all the more surprising to see Altaya entering this segment, with 1/43-scale metal replicas, given that it was mass-produced and sold to newsagents.
For N°1, which will be released at the end of December 2021 and sell for €2.99, Altaya is taking no chances by opting for the Isetta, a fairly well-known VSP model. Number 2, on sale for €6.99, is a Vespa 400, a model well known to other breeders. For the moment, the Spanish publisher has not revealed the full list of models (on sale at €12.99 from number 3) in this collection, their production as usual being handled by Ixo. However, the list of the first nine issues reveals a few pleasant surprises, starting with the Ligier JS4, which to our knowledge is one of the only no-license miniatures to be reproduced alongside the Citroën Ami.
