The oil dipstick with seal is the only way to manually and accurately check the amount of lubricant in your microcar’s oil sump. On the Greaves E5+ twin-cylinder diesel engine, used in Ligier JS50 and Ligier Myli, the total oil capacity is relatively small. Even a slight lack of oil can instantly damage the engine due to seizure, while overfilling can create excessive pressure that damages seals.
