1 new and adaptable tailgate cylinder for Dué

There are often two tailgate cylinders in your VSP. They allow you to open and close the tailgate of your VSP very smoothly, and to keep it in the open position without the risk of it falling down.

The tailgate actuators for small cars work on the simple principle of a piston, which is moved up and down by a gradual transfer of a mixture of gas and oil to dampen the movements.

A tailgate actuator on a small car will wear out naturally over time. You will know that your jack needs to be changed when you notice irregular resistance, deterioration of the seals and/or fluid leakage, squeaking...

It is very important to change both cylinders because their action must be perfectly identical and symmetrical. This change is quite simple to do and does not require any special knowledge or tools.
