The rear wheel hub is a key chassis component of your first-generation Microcar MGO 1. Mounted at the end of the trailing arm or rear axle, it supports the wheel bearing and houses the wheel studs that securely fasten the wheel rim. Constantly exposed to road impacts, moisture, and heavy loads, the hub can wear out over time. Typical signs of a worn rear hub or wheel bearing include a whistling or low humming noise that increases with speed, excessive wheel play when the vehicle is lifted, and unusual vibrations inside the cabin.
